EASIER ACCESS TO THE ALGERIAN GREAT SOUTH WITH A SIMPLIFIED VISA

Tourist destination Algerian Great South :
Facilitations for the issuance of tourist visas are granted to tourists wishing to travel, within the framework of organized tours through approved travel agencies, to destinations in the Algerian Great South.

These facilitations apply exclusively to destinations in the wilayas of Tamanrasset, Illizi, Tindouf, Bechar, Adrar, Timimoune, Djanet, Bordj Badji Mokhtar, Beni Abbes, Ain Salah, and Touggourt.

These new measures, adopted as part of the promotion of Saharan tourism in Algeria, allow groups of tourists traveling within an organized framework to benefit from visa-on-arrival procedures with a validity period not exceeding thirty (30) days.

To this end, the Algerian Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts has launched a digital platform, linking the different relevant ministerial departments, allowing approved travel agencies to submit tourist visa applications exclusively for the Algerian South.

After processing, these agencies provide their travelers with a boarding authorization featuring a QR code. The payment of visa fees is also made upon arrival.

Destinations or organized tours to other wilayas of the country, other than the South, remain subject to the consular visa procedures currently in force.
