Day 1: Arrival in Algiers
- Arrival at Algiers international airport
- Warm welcome by our team.
- Transfer to your hotel and check-in.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Discovering Algiers
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Guided tour of the Casbah of Algiers, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Traditional lunch with a local host.
- Visit to the iconic Notre-Dame d’Afrique, a beautiful basilica overlooking Algiers Bay.
- Dinner, then transfer to the airport for your flight to Djanet.
- Arrival in Djanet and welcome by our Tuareg team.
- 4x4 transfer to your desert campsite, set up and overnight under tents.
Day 3: Oasis and Rock Art
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Departure by 4x4 to the serene Iherir oasis, a peaceful haven in the heart of the desert.
- Lunch near the Dider rock engravings. Ancient traces of early Saharan life
- Campsite set up near the sand dunes.
- Dinner and overnight under the stars.
Day 4: Traditional Life and Natural Landscapes
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Visit to the Tuareg village of Iherir, discovering traditional homes and meeting locals.
- Scenic Walk along the wadis lined with palm trees and oleanders, stop at the gueltas( natural water basins).
- Lunch on site.
- In the afternoon, departure for Essendilene, a spectacular natural site.
- Campsite set up, dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Canyon and Rock Paintings
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Exploration of the Essendilene canyon and its guelta, a fascinating place to observe local flora and fauna.
- Lunch on site.
- Departure for Tilalène, a region with spectacular dunes and prehistoric rock paintings.
- Campsite set up, dinner and overnight under the desert sky.
Day 6: Tikoubaouene and Erg Crossing
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Departure to visit Tikoubaouene, an impressive site with unique and surreal rock formations.
- Lunch on site.
- Exploration of prehistoric rock paintings and the natural arch of Tikoubaouene.
- Erg (sand sea) crossing before reaching the campsite.
- Dinner and overnight in the wilderness.
Day 7: Final Moments in Djanet
- Breakfast at the campsite.
- Visit to the poignant “Crying Cow” engravings, a symbol of the Sahara’s prehistoric history.
- City tour of Djanet, visit to the market and last souvenirs.
- Transfer to the airport for the return flight to algiers.
Day 8: Free Day in Algiers
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Enjoy a leisurely day to explore Algiers at your own pace: seaside stroll, shopping, optional visits.
- **Dinner** and overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Excursion to Tipaza
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- an excursion to Tipaza, a coastal town and an archaeological site listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- Visit of the Roman ruins, museum, and the Royal Mausoleum of Mauretania.
- Enjoy Lunch by the sea.
- Return to Algiers in the late afternoon.
- Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: farewell Algeria
- Breakfast at the hotel.
- Free time depending on your flight schedule.
- Transfer to Algiers airport for your return flight.
