VISA INFORMATION
Visa applications must be submitted to the Algerian consulate in the applicant’s country of residence.
For French nationals
To apply for a tourist visa, French citizens must provide:

The official visa application form (downloadable from the Embassy website), duly completed, dated, signed, and submitted in duplicate

A passport valid for at least 6 months, plus a photocopy

Two identical and recent passport-size photographs

A travel insurance certificate covering assistance and repatriation

For family visits: a certificate of accommodation issued by an Algerian family member and legalized by the local town hall in Algeria

The visa fee for stays of less than 90 days is €80 (for applicants over 12 years old).
Processing time is up to 14 days.
For Belgian nationals
Belgian citizens must submit their tourist visa application to the Visa Department of the Consulate General of Algeria in Brussels.

For Swiss nationals
Swiss citizens are also required to obtain a visa.

Important Notice
Algeria has announced that tourists traveling to the Algerian Sahara as part of an organized tour may obtain a visa on arrival at the airport or at border crossings.
They will no longer be required to apply for a visa prior to departure.
This measure applies exclusively to tourists traveling במסגרת organized trips arranged by officially licensed Algerian travel agencies.
